[Guest Post] Coral Café: New Year’s Outfit, Edgy/Glam

…please welcome Drew of Coral Café today…

If you haven’t discovered her already (where have you been?), you must meet Drew of Coral Café, a fellow graphic designer, blogger and fashionista-extraordinaire! Her blog is still a new find for me, and I cannot get enough of the inspiration she provides in all forms — and today we’re lucky to get her ideas on what-to-wear for NYE!

I am so thrilled to be here at Small Shop today! I adore Erika and everything about her designs, blog and style! Total glam girl, if you ask me!! It is SUCH an honor to even be caught on such an admiring blog! Thanks so much for having me!!

I know Christmas is in 3 short days, but I’m already dreaming up the perfect New Year’s Eve outfit! While creating this look, I decided to give you a glimpse into what kind of style I’m looking forward to rocking way into the new year. My personal style has definitely evolved over the last year and I’ve become more bold and conscience of the decisions I make while styling my clothes. One thing remains constant, for sure…color! Bright and captivating color!

Yes, black is PERFECT and glamorous to wear but color is what pulls on my heart strings! Put the two together and it’s a complete and lasting marriage!

I have found I am happier and even have more energy when I wear bright colors! Pair it with black and gold and you’ll pull off the sophisticated, with a touch of edge, look.

In completion, you have for 2012: little bit edgy, little bit glam.

How would you describe your perfect combination style?

Desiring an online space to explore well-rounded, inspired content in all topics she loves most, Erika created 'The E List' (formerly the Small Shop blog) in 2010. When not enjoying an “occasional" glass of wine and wanderlusting for even warmer climates, Erika can be found sharing laughs with friends and family, and trying her very best to keep up with her 6-year old daughter (yet failing miserably).

  1. My style is minimalist, architectural, only solid colors (lots of gray and black to bright jewel tones). The purple blazer you picked is my fave clothing color of all time!
