This Valentine’s Day, I decided I’d try to spice it up a little, push myself out of my comfort zone, and experiment with two bold-for-me makeup looks. Hourglass Cosmetics and I have been wanting to collaborate together, and after receiving an amazing care package from them I thought, let’s see what fun we can have with this. A little conceptualizing later, et voila...a dolled up girl is a happy girl! But I am by no means a makeup artist, so I guess the lesson here is this: if I can do it, you certainly can too! (And bonus: Hourglass Cosmetics has been nice enough to offer my readers 15% off!)

Here are the products I used to get what I’m calling the Good Girl cat-eye look and the Bad Girl smokey-eye look

EYES: Vol. 6 Eye Palette in Neo-Classic, Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner, Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette, Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara in Onyx

LIPS: No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil**, Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss in Ignite

**The lip oil is a must-have and has changed my world! Seriously.

(expires 2/14/14, one-time use per customer)

I had no idea what I was doing but went for it, so I hope this inspires you to try something new too! Have some fun with your makeup this Valentine’s Day. xoxo

  1. You are a stunner! Love this post! So pretty and fun! Makes me excited to try out something new for my boyfriend this week – yeah! 🙂

  2. For a second I couldn’t recognize you. Stunning! I’ve been wanting to try Hourglass for a while but it’s quite hard to find it in Dubai. I’m scouring the web to find a way to get my hands on the lip oil. Thanks for the recommendation! x

  3. LOVE these photos! So glad you pumped it up a level. Both looks are gorgeous.

I’ve seen the hourglass products when I’m stopping by space nk, but haven’t thought to try them. I’ll have to play around with them next time. They’ve got some pretty colors!

  4. Love this!!! I always stick to the same makeup routine but would love love love either of these looks! I will be trying them for a date night (in) with the man. 🙂
