BLOGGER MEET-UP: Recap!

Our little afternoon adventure…

Some of you may have heard that Sabra of The Lonely Wife Project , Irene of designstILes and lil ol’ me met up on Saturday! It was truly a blogger encounter of the first kind for me, and I could not have been more excited, nervous and giddy with anticipation. We all agreed that it’s kind of like online dating, and although there was that split second when each of us might have thought, what if we’re disappointed? We totally weren’t, and KNEW we wouldn’t be.

I picked a central meeting point at The Crow Bar in Corona del Mar, as I knew the wine list was good (priority #1) and the food was comfort (priority #2). Luckily, Sabra brought her camera and snapped lots of shots between our babbling because before I knew it, 4 hours (and 3 glasses of wine each) had passed!

Properly pickled, we ventured out and managed to squeeze in a quick jaunt down to a shop I have been dying to go to forever, Westerly Boutique. Because it was downright dreary that day, we practically had the place to ourselves. I’m sure the three of us were quite entertaining for the very sweet shop girl.

Sabra did such a fantastic job with the photos! She is super talented, especially considering we weren’t really giving her much to work with. Well, correction I wasn’t giving her much. Me:

Irene:

Yah, I need to take some tips from this pose pro.

Bottom line: these two gals are genuine, fun, savvy, hard-working, and completely as I expected…lovely! You are definitely seeing them for as they truly are, every day. And I for one feel very lucky for that!

Looking forward to the next meet-up…

Many thanks to The Lonely Wife Project for sharing her photos!

Woo hoo, it’s like I was almost a part of it! You ladies are all looking fabulous, even if you don’t have the perfect posing quite down yet ;) I’m itching to get out there and go shopping and drinking with all of you.

My pose is so heroine chic. I’m joking. Heroine is never chic.

That’s about the closest I’ll ever come to a birkin bag. :(

Can’t wait for our next date!

Hooray for fun bloggy meetups! It looks like such a fab time! And how adorable are you all!!! Pretty sure this would have been a hilarious “Blind Date” episode with the little talk bubbles minus the sketchy host and skeezy hot tubs! Does anyone remember that show or did I just totally date myself?

That looked like a whole lot of fun! I have yet to go to the crow bar…been meaning to. I usually go to HAVEN gastropub @ the circle or Back Abby in Claremont (they have a great review on yelp). It’s hot today and I wish it was cooler outside so I could wear Fall clothes :(
