Last year I bought myself a pair of Joie wedge booties. This year it’s apparent that I need to incorporate a chunky heel version into my wardrobe — perfect to transition my summer maxis to fall, and pair with skinnies into winter and next spring. Some of my fave looks of the season…

Boots are my favorite! I seriously live in boots come fall and winter. Low and chunky for me too. Allow for height and easy walkabilty. They’re so “groovy” :)
I love a short chunky heeled bootie ;) I invested in a couple of pairs last year and am definitely seeing more than a few that I may need to add to the collection this year…like that gold backed pair…and the black with the cognac straps..oh yeah! in love ;) XO brynn

Steve Madden Pembroke are one of my faves and I have a pair from Urban Outfitters that are both edgy and darling all at the same time. Anthro has got the most amazing pair as well that I dedicated a post to, they were just that great lol!

Great post and picks — love everything in the ‘pull on’ and ‘strapped’ sections! I second Bettina’s recommendation — bought two pairs of Steve Madden Pembrook booties last winter (after seeing them worn so many different ways by Samantha of Could I Have That: http://couldihavethat.blogspot.com/2012/08/la-art-crawl.html). I got the taupe and black, and have worn them throughout the summer with crops, skirts and shorts, too. these are all gorgeous – if only we could have them all! I like the colored ones most of all, I think they’d make a nice pop in any look.
Not yet…but I love the look of the ones with the different backs. Just adds a cool edgy feel!
