BOOTIE LOVE Everyday Chic

Decisions, decisions…

I need your help today! I have been searching for the perfect casual chic bootie since last Fall — that pair you can wear it with anything, looks great with skinnies, a skirt, a dress or flairs? The perfect color, you know, not too light but with just enough color to give them some oomph. Heel, or wedge? Suede or leather? I go in circles on this very critical issue. Here are the looks I’m imagining I’d be sporting…

And here are some of the current possibilities:

Joie | Belle by Sigerson Morrison
Modern Vintage | Rebecca Minkoff
Marc by Marc Jacobs | Jeffrey Campbell
J.Crew | Dolce Vita
Dolce Vita | Joe’s Jeans
Sam Edleman | Joie

So many styles, so few outfits to pair with them all! (A problem I am working on as well.)

Do you have any booties for day that are versatile AND fabulous? Spill!

I need advice on this too!!

I lean towards the wedges because they seem like they would be more comfortable. I really need shoes I can dash around in without being wobbly or achy.

oooh i love a lot of your picks! but, alas, i need help in this arena as well. love that you’re wanting them to go a long way (i.e. with so many different looks) because that’s my kind of shopping! i’ll be checking back to see what kind of advice you get from the fashionistas in the group :)

I desperately need to add a pair of casual booties to my shoe wardrobe. Most of my boots are tall and flat or tall with a heel. I LOVE the Dolce Vitas on the right, 4th pair down. The Sigerson Morrisons are really cute too but the heel looks pretty tall so might not be comfy all day !

Love them all – first pic is fave and Belle by Sigerson Morrison – I have classic black ankle boots and grey suede wedges that I wear every single day of winter – they were a capsule line that Tara Subkoff did for Easy Spirit six years ago and I have had them repaired like 19 times…

I bought these from asos http://tinyurl.com/3avwdhh and they’re the perfect fit and heel size for me. First I bought them in the lighter brown color ( I can’t find them anymore) loved them so much I went back for the black ones. From your list I’d probably go with the Modern vintage, The Dolce Vita, or the Sam Edelman ones. I feel a boot is a little more versatile than a wedge. Hope that helps.

Who says you have to restrict yourself to just one?! But if you must, I have a pair of black booties from Modern Vintage and they’re super comfortable and great quality and the Modern Vintage style you got up there is waay cute!

You, lucky lady, must be at least 6 feet tall because I tried every pair of booties known to man from the top of my my 5’3″ and still only manage to look like a gnome on walking stilts!!

With this said, my heartfelt vote goes to Rebecca Minkoff! That blue and the detailing are too good to pass!

Second place goes to Marc Jacobs.

I prefer wedges to heels, you know why? I have more confidence when Im not worried about trying not to fall over or twist my ankle. I had a presentation last night in my interior design studio class and I wore strappy wedges, so glad I did. I have seen some wedge bootie and think Im going to go for it and get them. The nice ones are at Jcrew but I can afford the Target version….hmmmm.

I would go #1 for Sam Edelman which is a little more feminine than my #2 for J.Crew. Let us know what you chose! I don’t own that type of boot but now I need to! great outfit suggestions!! loved the post!

I’m a fan of the Marc Jacobs wedges myself. I tend to lean towards more everyday wear though and these look like they’d be great with bell bottoms or even tights, a feminine skirt and a chunky sweater. I love all the choices though!
