PRETTY PARFUMS: Collecting, Displaying

Little luxuries*

A great way to own a high-end designer item? Buy the perfume. Bonus is, all put together on a petite tray, it’s like you have your very own couture collection, a display of daily inspiration…

Start your own couture collection:

Annick Goutal | Chloé | Chanel
Missoni
| David Yurman | Kate Spade
DVF
| Gucci | Prada

I have (really) good friends that have gifted me many of my pretty bottles. But I have bought some myself, and I have to admit, in part because I like the look of them. They make me smile every morning, so I consider that money well spent…that’s my justification anyway!

What are your favorite scents that you proudly display?

* I almost went with “L’eau and behold”…yah, I almost went there. It’s that kind of day.

Such lovely displays! I love the Kate Spade bottle, but am a Jo Malone girl. I have a hard time changing it up!

Bath & Body Works Tutti Dolci Crème Brûlée….when it was discontinued, but for Christmas my aunt hoarded it up on e-bay, so now I’m set for life.It smells so yummy and the bottle looks very “French Vintage” to me.

Oh! I forgot to mention that my girlfriend works for Chanel and every year she decorates her Christmas tree with miniature perfume bottles as ornaments….all different Chanel fragrances. It’s on a whole other level of awesomeness.

Love the “L’eau and behold!” I agree…perfume bottles are so pretty. I love the Balenciaga bottle…and Bond No. 9 perfumes add a funky touch (bonus is they last all day on your body).

I spy your Stella. I love that one. I have the Annick Goutal in petite cherie. I reminds me of Strawberry Shortcake. My friends dubbed it Old Lady. I don’t care, I love it.

Bah hahahah. L’eau and behold. You slay me.

I actually tend to store my perfumes in a drawer now, simply because my dressing area is in a sunroom that can get very bright and (on some days) warm. Some castoff perfumes that I had sitting up top went bad surprisingly fast.

I love the Les Exclusifs de Chanel perfume bottles. I’m also intrigued by the Balenciaga bottles and would love to sample their new fragrance!

I feel like such a failure of a woman….I definitely don’t have any pretty perfume bottles. I need to start collecting and displaying…STAT. This images are so pretty and feminine… :)

I wish I could say I have a wonderful collection of perfumes but sadly I don’t. I usually borrow M’s unisex fragrances (he has a decent collection) because I can’t find the right fragrance for me. They smell good on the paper strip but on my skin it smells like an old frumpy woman! The only fragrance I truly regret not buying is an Armani Prive perfume I tried while in NYC about a year ago… I think it’ll have to go on my Christmas wish list!

Chanel (Chance) is my go-to scent although I’m usually just a shower fresh kind of girl. All those little bottles are so pretty. I’m wondering what you like for men??

I absolutely adore the idea of decorating with perfume bottles. I currently have a small display of mine set up on the marble counter in my bathroom and they make me smile every single day. My current go-to fragrance is Dolce & Gabbana The One. My other favorite scent is Ferragamo Shine, and I always get tons of complements when I wear it. I just wish the bottle were prettier!

I have sooooo many perfumes, but I did the same and pulled my prettiest bottles, and most fave scents that I wear regularly and put them on pretty glass tray in my bathroom, sooo fancy. I love it

I’m totally behind on this trend too. Time to get started on my own couture collection!

“L’eau and behold” Hilarious. Nothing more glamourous than a Chanel #5 bottle. I wish the fragrances I wore were in prettier bottles, the really unattractive ones I pour into atomizers to sexy them up. Love your collection!
