Well, for their husbands anyway…
Came across this amazing DIY mirrored coffee table (that yes, I will be convincing the husband to make for me), plus a few other handy weekend projects:
Ok this one looks kinda tough, actually, but how fun is this kid-friendly coffee table? It’s very me, let’s just leave it at that.
A little lesson in electrical wiring…sounds like a boy job too.
I know we think this would be easy, but still nice to have instructions.
I was kinda thinking zig zag would be coolio.
Even just a cart for a hobby room would be super useful.
Any DIY projects you’ve got on your weekend agenda?
Oh the coffee table dilemma! Does this mean you’ve found your answer?! We have the same problem…kid friendly coffee tables are impossible! This one looks amazing though!
Holy moly…you are going to be one *BUSY* lady! But actually, it all looks like a lot of fun! I have been wanting to do that sisal rug project myself, I hope you do it and post how it turns out! Then I will just keep being lazy and live vicariously (c:
I’m with you on the zig zags! That mirrored coffee table, to die for…I have to admit, some of these projects are a little intimidating.xo
these are great ways to freshen up the home. that coffee table is on fire! and no one will ever regret the chalkboard wall – the last 2.5 feet of our (lonely) kitchen wall is magnetic chalkboard and i love love love it! so do kiddos and guests when they come over!
Def do the coffee table. The others I think we always think would be easy but then it’s just a mess…the coffee table is so you though!

Fantastic ideas!! After I finish my organizing and clean out I’m definitely hopping on this bandwagon. I love the coffee table idea. We have the noguchi coffee table, so obviously won’t be redoing that, but I’m bookmarking this for future use!
Whoa…that coffee table!! All these ideas are so good. I’m a wannabe DIYer. So many aspirations, but am missing the craft gene to pull off 95% of them. That sisal rug looks like something I could handle though!! Fantastic post.
Looks like the hub’s got a lot on his honey-do list this weekend ;) Love these projects…might need to take a more thorough look at that mirrored table…
Well after my botched attempt at gold leafing a french chair I think I’m done with DIY’s for now. These are all great ideas, though. I’ll probably paint a rug down the road. Especially if it’s a cheap IKEA rug.
My DIY skills end at spray paint. Someone made the mirrored coffee table?!?! Impressive. My husband has tons of qualities, but unfortunately handy man is not one of them. I think I could face doing the sisal rug idea. Again, spray paint and I are friends.
After the bubble chandelier incident, my husband gave me his blessing to purchase items rather than make them myself. If I’m dead set on DIYing, I cannot, under any circumstances, ask for his help. I love him anyway!
My husband will be planting grass seed this weekend, so I’ll be hanging with the kid.
And good luck keeping tiny girl fingerprints of that coffee table…! ;)
oops, I meant “off”!
i LOVE these DIY projects! thanks for posting these, that mirrored coffee table is awesome!! your blog is really nice!
