Another fun side project in the works!
It started with a simple question posed in an email to me: Where does one find cute, stylish crib bedding that’s not gonna break the bank? Despite being somewhat bitter that DwellStudio launched their line for Target right after I had purchased the pricey real deal, they were definitely my first stop. I was thrilled to find they’ve launched a new collection since then, including the adorable “Menagerie” pattern below — giraffes, elephants, camels and hippos in subtle shades of warm gray, terra cotta, pea green and light gray-blue. Instantly inspired, I offered to mock up a board for the mommy-to-be (as long as she let me used it as a blog post, of course!). You wouldn’t believe the selection of vintage-y items from major retailers like Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie! I had so much fun the other night putting this “first draft” together for her, and luckily, she loves it!

(I had a really difficult time deciding on which one of the three poses to get…all are super cute)
Curtains:
“Waving Stripes”, Anthropologie, $108-$168/panel
Letters:
“Industrial Stencil Letters”, $8 each
“Around the World Letters”, $12 each

With this, I had sent her a few options for each piece, and I’m thinking we definitely need to do a gallery wall too…so stay tuned for the next round!
You know I love nurseries – I have never seen one like that – such a unique plan. You are so talented!! -e (modern24seven.blogspot.com)
Nurseries are fun! And the mom specifically asked for a “boy nursery without all the blue”– thought the color scheme here was a good compromise.
Just found your blog and love your style! Your timing with this is impeccable too, as I’m expecting boy #3 in July and our nursery needs an update on a budget. Thanks!! Will be staying tuned for the gallery wall..
Congratulations Barb! Very excited for you. You must be having so much fun preparing for the little guy. Glad I could help with these budget finds. I was so pleased that there are so many great options out there.
Hi Lovely,
You did it again, i love this nursery!
xoxo Chantal from Beaulifestyle
I can’t take too much credit, there are so many good resources out there that make it pretty darn easy!
Great post! I just love your blog more and more with each visit! Miss Walker xoxo
Thank you Miss! Your blog is great, you have such a good eye!
This is amazing! And affordable too. You really are good.
I thought it was all pretty affordable too, to my surprise. But really, the selection out there right now is pretty decent.
This is so pretty. Not pretty in the pink and floral type of pretty but just pretty, if that makes sense. Love the color combo.
That giraffe taper is awesome.
The palette is a good neutral I think but not tan and brown, you know? More like muted soft tones.
I just bought this bedding and was trying to decide what color I should paint the room and came across your blog. I love the “grown-up” nursery look and I’ve already purchased some antique looking decors to go into the room. What color would you suggest for the wall color?
I love your style! I had just purchased this bedding and just love the colors. Do you think the vintage safari nursery scheme would work for a baby girls room also?
The African Animal Pictures on the wall is shown and the crafts and sculptures of different animals like deer, elephant etc.
