Yesterday I posted a few dining room photos from my friend’s home that I’ve been helping to remodel (remember the “Neutral Texture” board from last year?). We pretty much stripped the place of its old honey-colored wood, cottage cheese ceilings and ivory tiling (ick), replacing it all with dark espresso floors, black trim and doors, and pale gray walls. In the kitchen, we went with white cabinets, white carerra marble countertops, a white subway tile backsplash, and tore down a few walls (and a fluorescent light box in the ceiling – yikes!) to open up the spaces even more. The difference is dramatic! What was once a dingy 1970’s nightmare is now a refreshing light-filled dream…
It’s a super small space but I think we were able to make the most of it. At the very least, my friend is very happy = me happy!
