Although exhausted Monday after returning from Miami, I had to snap into action upon realizing that Christmas is but a mere two weeks away! What?! Cue me scrambling to get the house decorated, Christmas cards ordered, gift list updated…time for baking cookies? I don’t know if we’ll have time! Hence, yesterday morning I subjected my daughter to a quick photo shoot before school — literally, hanging a white sheet on the wall of the dining room, pulling out the camera, and handing her a prop that I picked up the day before at Target. Lights, camera, action!

Here’s the sheet situation…not so pretty! Yikes.
Needless to say, cards are ordered = mission accomplished!

So cute and personal! Love it!

She’s too darn cute! Such a difference in the first 3 photos vs. the last one with the exposed white back drop. I’ve never tried it before, but it looks like it works really well.
Hope you had a lovely time in Miami! I totally enjoyed all the instas you were uploading!

She is the cutest! Great idea on the sheet. I pulled my son outside for a quick 5 minute shoot too. Too bad the cards still haven’t gone out yet! Yikes!

She is just the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! That is definitely “fridge worthy”!!

How do you manage to white out the back while keeping her face warm? Did you do this in vsco?
thanks!
Erika Brechtel says
Hi Megan! I lasso’d her and feathered the selection in Photoshop, which allowed me to blow out the sheet to white around her. I may have even blurred it to make sure all the wrinkles were out! If you don’t have Photoshop, ironing the sheet and using a flash would work well. I faked it!

this is way too adorable. I saw those trees at Target too!

Thank you! I’m better with Photoshop than I am with an iron. So, I’ll go run some practice tries!
Erika Brechtel says
Haha hilarious! I think Photoshop is faster anyway. LOL!

Definitely believe that which you stated.
Your favorite reason appeared to be on the web the easiest
thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they just do not
know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing
without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.
Thanks
