FIRST OF FALL: What I Wore

Recently purchased, checked off the list

It was actually chilly here in L.A./O.C. this week. Shocking, as it was in the 90s over the weekend. But with the change of weather, I got to break out some of the items I’ve been checking off my Fall Basics Checklist: black/white stripes, skinnies (not colored, I chickened out), wedge booties, leopard something, and a gold “bracelet” of sorts.

Decided I’d work on my blogger pose while I was at it. Yaaah….I just look annoyed, and so does my dog. And this was the best out of 30 photos! The rest:

“Sit, no stay, no sit, Maya!”
She was very confused. Why are we just standing here?
(I’d say it explains her annoyance, but she is most often annoyed. Stupid humans.)

Sabra and Irene said at our blogger meet-up that they didn’t even know I had dogs — I have two! This is the little one. The other one is 100 lbs. of pure love and fur (he’s my big fuzzy guy, I’ll show him soon).

Anyway, whole point is, here are the recent purchases I got to break out for my first official Fall outfit:

GAP mohair striped sweater (on sale!)
Mother “The Looker” skinnies (soooo comfie)
Joie Love Street booties (tough decision, but love them!)
Michael Kors Jet Set horn/gold watch (treated myself after a nice commission)
J.Crew leopard iPhone cover (thanks to Jen)

Happy Fall (officially) to all of you! What are you wearing? What are you buying?

And…the winner of the I Am Project Giveaway is #17: Tiffany! Congrats! I’ll get in touch over email today.

I remember the sweater from Lucky and loved it then. And a great price! Need to add it to my fall list.
Your pooch is so cute! What kind of dog is she?

She’s a shiba inu – you know that puppy cam? Same kind. She’s kind of like a cat though.

The boots were a good choice! I wish the leopard iPhone cover was still available. It’s just the right amount of everyday leopard accent!

Those booties are feeding my intense need for new booties. Too cute!! How sweet is your Akita, Maya! Love her. It takes about 30 photos for us to get a good one as well. hah

Tamra, she’s the shiba, my big guy is the Akita — he looks scary but really he is a big teddy bear.

    Nice to meet you, Maya.

I tried buying some fall wardrobe items this week and purchased a floral dress and pleated skirt.

Your sweater looks so comfy. You say it’s on sale, ey? I love those four letters together.

My parents’ dog is a Maya too!

Love the get-up, need the booties. Time for me to save my pennies. Or sell a few chairs.

Looking casual cool in your outfit :) Maya is sooo cute! I love that you said she acts like a cat, my cat acts like a dog. On Wednesday when it rained I took a photo of what I wore, haven’t posted it yet though. I dressed cute but most people that came into the shop looked haggard…

Erika – cute outfit. Can’t wait to get back into my clothes after baby. And you’re doing fine with the poses. I’m awful at taking pics of myself. And if I try to get my hubby to do it I just get embarassed – double fail.
