I’m often asked about my hair, but I’ll let you in on a little secret: the main reason I have long hair is because I look terrible with short hair (round face)! The second reason is that I’m very lucky that my 1/2 Japanese side gave me good hair, which I feel I should take advantage of, right? The third reason is that I have A LOT of hair, so I’ve found that keeping it long helps to weigh it down and keep it straight. So, after many many years of hair raising experience, I will say that my current routine has been the easiest, using three fave products and a no-fail routine for seemingly effortless wavy or straight hair…
I’m a HUGE fan of UNITE hair products, thanks to my hair stylist. While I use the 7SECONDS Detangler, LAZER Straight Relaxing Fluid, and ARGAN Oil every day, I’ve used these as well and they are equally amazing:
BEACH Day for beachy waves (that smell good too!)
SHINA Liquid for that extra glossy shine
EXPANDA Dust for crazy lift at the roots
(I must point out that this is NOT a sponsored post — I really do love these products and use them religiously!)
/
For my routine, since I’m at home working during the day, after I apply the above three daily products (and have brushed it straight), I’ll twist and tie it into a bun and let it dry naturally for wavy hair. When I want to go straight, I’ll blow dry and use a flat iron (although with the LAZER Straight I often don’t even need to flat iron), but keep the top layer tied in a bun to provide some volume and a few waves around my face. Either way, release the bun when you’re ready to roll. Voilà!
What have you found that works for you? Please share!

You have such beautiful long hair! I go back and forth between shoulder length and long, I wish I had the patience for long hair!
You have beautiful hair! I recently cut all my long hair off and have a messy just past chin length bob and I love it. Never going back!
I’m the same way! I have a veeerrry round face, so short hair is simply not an option — though I wish it was for its effortlessness! I don’t do much if my hair, if anything at all, so thanks for the tips! :)

I just need to say that your photos lately have been AMAZING!!! You are just so gorgeous :)
Thank you for noticing Courtney! It’s been a conscious effort to STEP IT UP in general around here!
I keep hearing great things about this line, will have to check it out. Your hair really is amaze – I have a lot of it too but it’s much wavier and puffier and…sigh. ;)
Being a “curly girl”, I have to put in a plug for a line I have discovered — Deva Curl. There are stylists out there who have been certified as Deva Curl stylists. I have been going to a deva stylist and using their products for about a year and am very happy!
God you have gorgeous hair!!! I will have to check these products out.
Your hair looks amazing and thanks for sharing! I’m currently using argan oil products by pro naturals and they have a great styling serum too.
