Well that headache on Monday ended up being a full-on, in-bed cold/congestion/compressed nerve (!) ALL week. Miserable. Thankfully we are headed out for a little R&R in Palm Springs this weekend. Originally we intended to go out with friends for Coachella, but seems we were not quick enough to purchase the tix. Ah well, we get to take the kiddos now, and we will still be going out in style…

In other news, I’m so honored to be a part of Effortless Style’s series “In Her Shoes” today, sharing my typical day through the lens of my trusty iPhone. Nothing earth-shattering, BUT I am giving a sneak peek at my new website!
Have a great weekend! I really do hope I am able to kick this cold with a little sun. A full week lost is killing me!!!!
I love every.single.thing in this post. I am obsessed with your style. I wish this would all magically appear in my closet without spending the money. Have a wonderful time in Palm Springs (I’ve never been but hear it’s great!).
Your new site looks absolutely amazinggg. Have an amazing time in Palm Springs, I have no doubt that you will bring lots of style with you!
Cute picks! Hope you feel better and that you have a safe, fun and relaxing trip! PS I need that bathing suite!
Run girl, run to that Palm Springs sun. This week has been far too cold for these parts! The striped maxi is just the best. I’m looking to fill my closet up this season with a few just like it. Also- loved getting a glimpse of your day on Effortless Style- and seeing your beautiful pups. Wishing your weekend getaway is just the right medicine for that cold you’ve been fighting!
Have the most amazing time in Palm Springs! Make sure and have a margarita for me and rock that adorable fedora!
I would like to have every one of those pieces in my suitcase!:). Hope you have a fabulous time!!
I’m dyingggg to go to Palm Springs! Take lots of pictures and have a fabulous time! xx
Great pieces! I’m loving that necklace. This is giving me an idea of what to pack for our trips to Thailand & the French Riviera. Exciting! Can’t wait to see your new website design, and ADORE your dogs! x
These are all gorgeous picks! I want them all in my own closet!
Have fun this weekend!
Love your whole pack list! Have fun and feel better!

It might be a blessing in disguise you didn’t get tickets to Coachella. Last time I went I felt dirty and gross before even getting through the gates. And there’s about 20,000 people too many. Now you get to enjoy Palm Springs and not have to wait 30 mins in line to go pee. :)
Glad you’re feeling better. Enjoy your vacay. Love your picks, as usual.
Coachella is way too much madness for me to handle. You’re better off sipping lavender mojitos by the pool!
Finally a Coachella list that I would actually wear! Well done! I’m heading down in 2 weeks for Stagecoach and cannot wait! I think I’m going to pick up a couple of these pieces to bring along. :)
Have a good time in the desert! I love all the pieces, but that bathing suit is amazing! Prettiest print I’ve seen on a suit in a while!
Oh those shorts, love them!! Have fun Erika!
Have the best time, LOVE your packing list!
Have fun! By the way, I loved your In Her Shoes feature!
Such great picks! Hard to pick a favorite, but I love the shorts and maxi! Enjoy!
that mara hoffman suit is so gorgeous! love your picks!
You’ll have lots of fun in Palm Springs. We love living here We’re from Chicago and loved Palm Springs so much we moved here 17 years ago. My husband is a past President of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Now if you wanted to stay at the most popular small resort in Palm Springs according to the Los Angeles Times (and the smaller resorts are always the most fun), you will have over packed. This resort received a Readers Choice award last July for being the most popular small resort in All Southern California. To stay there you would only need to wear during day the aviators, the hat, the necklace, the sandals, sunscreen and a smile.
The most popular small resort is The Terra Cotta Inn Clothing Optional resort and Spa. It’s the coolest place to stay. Fashionistas love it there. During the day, you get a sexy all over suntan (there is also lots of shade if you like). Then you get to dress up and hit all the cool spots in Palm Springs at night. Afterwards you get to relax au naturel in the large jacuzzi. AOL Travel last week called Terra Cotta Inn the most mainstream nude sunbathing resort in the US and perfect for couples trying topless or nude sunbathing for the first time.
When you’re in sunny Palm Springs, you’ll love the sensual feeling of topless or nude sunbathing. It’s just so European and so much fun! Mary Clare owner Terra Cotta Inn
