SNEAK PEEK // ever swoon

A little brand backstory…

Continuing on with the branding theme from yesterday, I wanted to take a moment to show you a project I’ve been working on that is launching next week! You may have seen/heard that Tamra of Walks with Bella has started her own event planning and styling company, ever swoon (how cute is that name?). She came to me to help her create her brand, business card, and website.

I’m sure I speak for many when I say one of the most memorable shots from her fabulous wedding are her sparkling heaven Christian Louboutin heels (that her then-fiancé surprised her with — yes, you read that right). Luckiest girl in the world?

When first conceptualizing her brand identity, I naturally gravitated toward using the shoes as symbolic of Tamra herself, but in general, why else would you wear such fun shoes unless you were attending some fabulous event? Perfect!

It’s pure female modesty that made Tamra a little apprehensive at first about making the company’s brand about her, but like I tell all my clients (and ahem, myself), you have to brand yourself: you want to be seen as a tastemaker, an expert in your field. Clients will hire your company because of you, your style, and what makes you stand out from the rest!

So thrilled she agreed! And we’ve been having so much fun together I feel like I’ve known her forever. Here’s a peek at what we’ve been creating:

The biz cards are gold foil, plus a glitter foil for the shoes!


I call this “the money shot” —she was so blissfully happy she didn’t even notice the photographer snapping away!


We had a blast coming up with all the little icons and rollover effects! Heh heh…


The blog: isn’t a disco ball completely appropriate for her?

    The glitter foil on the business cards is genius! Loving all the little sparkle details (confetti, disco ball). What a fabulous concept. As for branding yourself… this speaks to me.
