Couldn’t we all use a little more Palm Springs in our lives?
This past weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Trina Turk’s home goods outpost in Palm Springs. (OK pleasure may be a little mild. Let’s just say I squealed in delight when entering, and found it difficult to leave.)
Another gorgeous interior by Kelly Wearstler (if you haven’t guessed by now, yes, major designer-crush going on over here) that is both true to the sunny mid-century vibe of the area and chock-full of contemporary details, like high-gloss textured panels and back-lit walls.
Trina Turk’s line of pillows, linens and candles were such a sight for desert-weary eyes, the colorful graphics an instant mood-lifter. But what I also loved is that the shop has expanded into product lines by other well-known designers — like towels from Missoni and pottery from Jonathan Adler — as well as decor and fashion books, barware and furniture. And who doesn’t love a good pouf?
I was THRILLED to see my white ellipse table too (above left), recently picked up from Modern Chic Home!
Although my 15 minutes of pretend-living in the lap of luxury were up, I couldn’t leave without grabbing a Missoni hand towel for my powder room. It goes without saying that I wanted to buy the whole store, but I’m learning to go on without it (sniff, sniff). Baby steps.
…xoxo
