Crystal clear
My daughter has always been into geology and I just love encouraging her curiosity. She gets these kicks every once in a while (“I don’t know mom, I just feel like painting right now” or “making something out of this cardboard box” or “reading about planets”) and this time she gathered up some crystals we have and wanted to learn more. We read that:
WHITE CRYSTAL = BALANCE
This clear quartz crystal is a “master healer” that stimulates the immune system, improves concentration and memory, and physically helps to balance out your body and mind through the ability to absorb, store, release, and regulate energy.
ROSE QUARTZ = LOVE/SELF-LOVE
Pink rose quartz (so pretty!) is said to assist in encouraging love through boosting harmony and trust in relationships and within oneself, and has the ability to provide a supportive, calming energy during difficult times.
BLACK OBSIDIAN = PROTECTION
Externally, black obsidian is seen as a protection stone, a shield for you and your loved ones against outside negative energies. Internally, it is said to assist in digestion, detoxification, and pain relief, as well as providing clarity and compassion by removing fear and anxiety.
We also learned that washing them in the ocean “cleanses” their energy, so we went for a little excursion across the street to the beach to do just that. Such a fun little #mommyandme activity!
